Saturday 02 May '09

We saw slight improvement in her appetite on Saturday. Keeping our fingers crossed.

I woke up early in the morning to prepare vegetable cheese sauce (from Annabel Karmel's cookbook) to be added to pasta. This is for standby in case she rejects her porridge later on.

Cheese sauce made with butter, cheddar cheese, milk, broccoli, carrot.

During breakfast, she was ok. In fact, after she finished her cereal, I fed her the remains from the baby jar food, she finished everything. I think it should be quite tasty as she opened her mouth willingly to take it. Heinz - Pear and banana flavour.

After her breakfast, I put her porridge to cook. I didn't use back veg stock. Added potato, a little bit of tomato and spinach. Decided to back off from pumpkin for awhile as she seems to be turning yellow. Better tell granny to reduce the amount of pumpkin. I think all of us has the mentality that since she only likes pumpkin, we will cook that for her. We went to FOX outlet sale but didn't buy anything as she was uncooperative again. I fed her some steam egg from my lunch and she vomitted some out as she coughed out some phelgm. Later, we saw the corners of her mouth a little reddish and I suspected that she is allergy to egg white. I must lay off whole eggs for the time being.

By the time we reached home, it was quite late and we quickly fed her lunch. Luckily she finished almost everything as I think she was hungry by then. After lunch, she took a nap until it was time to go for her LNT lesson. She was very tired as she was sleeping throughout while daddy changed her. She shown some improvement in her behaviour during the lesson. I am not sure if it was because it was the English lesson and the teacher was good. She was able to do more activities and could see that she enjoyed herself. Even I found that time passed very quickly. After the lesson when the teacher opened the door, she saw daddy and she ran out to hug him. I could see daddy beaming with pride. keke... Not forgetting to mention, she is very close to daddy recently. I told daddy it's because she associated me with her enemy - food!

We went to EXPO Metro sale and bought 2 pairs of Crocs - one for daddy and one for Ashlynn. We tabao BK back for dinner. Ashlynn had a late dinner as she had her milk late. I told daddy to go ahead to meet his friends, but he was sweet enough to insist to stay around to help me, knowing her potential tantrums during meal times. She managed to finish most of her porridge. We actually tried a new technique to lure her to eat. We pretended to feed her toy the porridge, then she will follow by opening her mouth to eat the porridge too. Hopefully, this trick can work till her appetite resumes.

Since she finished her porridge for both meals, I didn't get the chance to let her try the veg cheese sauce pasta. I froze the cheese sauce as it was recommended for freezing.

I spent the night alone with Ashlynn after daddy went out. We played shape sorter, hide-and-seek, stacking rings, watched tv and lazed around. At 9 plus, I fed her milk and put her to bed. Luckily she was quite cooperative. After she slept, I had to wash her bottles, and one big pail full of clothes. Was so tired that I fell asleep before daddy came back. When he came back, we watched tv together and had a late night snack. keke... I am putting on weight over the past 2 months, I better stop the snacking. Otherwise I can't wear all the clothes I bought recently coz at the beginning of the year I lost weight due to stress and fatique. So I bought smaller size clothes. No wonder the dress I wore on thursday felt so tight!! To think that I am piling back the weight again. Tomorrow we are going for buffet lunch to celebrate granny's birthday. Arrgggghhhhh!!!!! Control Control Control.................
