We went out for breakfast as I needed to do some grocery shopping. Wanted to give Ashlynn some swiss roll to try but she refused. Her appetite is still as bad. Feeding her breakfast was tough.
For lunch, I tried to cook her porrige differently as we suspected that she was tired of eating the same taste all the time. I did away with the veg stock. Instead, I added minced meat marinated with a little light soy sauce and sesame oil for taste. Added her favourite pumpkin and broccoli too. She rejected the porridge and pui out all the meat bits.
We went for daddy's friend's baby full month celebration. Ashlynn was very naughty. When his friend's daughter wanted to hold her hands, she refused to let her hold, and even attempted to hit her. I guess she is not used to interacting with other children. She was okay for awhile as she played with the little gal's toys. Until she started to get bored and wanted to open the cupboards. I told daddy that we better make a move and it was her milk time soon too.
We went shopping at Takashimaya. Wanted to choose my birthday present but Ashlynn was not cooperative at all. Keep wanting to come down to walk. At dinner, she was fussing so much, refused to even open her mouth to eat even one spoon of porridge. It sort of ruin my dinner even though we were dining at one of my favourites - Tonkinchi. We had to take turns to gulp down our dinner as she refused to sit still in her baby chair. Demanding to be "let free" to roam. Sigh... After our rushed dinner, we brought her to the Taka nursery room to feed her cereal (I predicted that she will have problem with her porridge, so I brought extra serving of cereal along). Again, it was a big challenge feeding her. She managed to finish 3/4 of it.
After her dinner, I told daddy that I can't take it anymore. We should just end the day there as she was simply uncooperative. In fact, I told daddy that we will not feed her outside anymore until her appetite resumes.
Sigh... I think it is really her poor appetite rather that she is sick of the foods we cook for her. Anyway, I did buy 2 baby food books. Will try out the recipes when I have the chance.
This Labour Day is really a "Labour Day" for mummy and daddy as we crack out heads to please the little princess.
