A Not So Lucky Saturday (or week)

It started off with Ashlynn developing fever, then not subsiding and rushing her to KK Hospital. After her fever subsided, she had the worst appetite ever, refusing her cereals, porridge and even her milk intake dropped. We suspected that her poor appetite was due to some phlegm. So we fed her the cough mixture provided by Dr Wong. Hopefully she will get well soon.

It was a super suay day for us.
Firstly, I spent few hours trying to feed her breakfast and lunch. In the end, she still couldn't finish most of her usual portions.

Secondly, when we returned home from lunch, as we were parking the car, daddy noticed people crowding near his bike. He was shocked to see the visor broken and his side mirrors were gone. Luckily the person who caused the accident was still around. If we had come back later, the driver would have scuted off. Dunno whether this is lucky or not. Daddy sent us to LNT class and had to leave to send the bike for assessment.

Thirdly, Ashlynn was totally disengaged in class today. Not sure if it was Japanese Language and she didn't understand, or is it the teacher? There were many factors affecting I guess. There were 6 babies in the class and it was super crowded! 2 of them were having their trial class. Ashlynn was so noisy that I felt bad towards the rest who wanted to concentrate. She might be tired also as she only napped for 15 min. After the class, we went home on our own. Initially planned to go United Square to shop, but because daddy came home very late, we stayed at home and he packed dinner back.

Lastly, we had the worst scare ever! After our dinner, we needed to go to Fairprice to stock up on groceries. As were getting out of the lift, this blur mummy allowed Ashlynn to walk out on her own. Suddenly she made a loud ahhhhh.... We thought she was playing and laughing, then to realise that she was screaming... We didn't know what happened until I noticed her face was in pain and omigod! her little fingers were stuck in the gap of the lift door. We panicked and daddy pulled her hand out. By the time, she was already inconsolable. Poor thing. We were so worried that her fingers were broken. I didn't dare to check, being fearful of the worst. As she was crying, Daddy checked and saw that the skin on 2 of her fingers had came off and it looked like abrasion to him. She was also able to clunch her fingers, so there shouldn't be any broken bones. We went to the pharmacy to buy antiseptic to clean the wound and bought Mickey Mouse plaster to dress her wound. Our hearts were so pain... She seemed fine after that as she was still able to play with us, occasionally admiring her Mickey Mouse plasters. When I asked her "pain pain where?", she will show me her fingers. Daddy asked to stop reminding her of the pain... Hee... Anyway, I really learnt a lesson. We really have to be very watchful when we allow the her to roam about. It was all my fault that she has to suffer the pain. I will never let her walk in/out of the lift on her own ever again.
