Selamat Hari Raya! 01 Oct '08

We started the day with cycling at east coast park. Hmm.. It's a pity ashlynn didn't really enjoy it. We come to realise that ashlynn is not the adventurous sort. Like that time when she went on the "Flying Fox" at JWT, she also showed no signs of excitment while other babies are screaming away. I guess she prefers the aircon like mummy.

We had our breakfast at Mac, including ashlynn. I prepared her porridge and kept it in the Tiger food jar. It was the first time we used it. We estimated that it was able to keep the porridge warm for the most 3 -4 hours. Ashlynn ate a few spoonfuls and seemed to like it. I added tofu to the porridge for the first time and was glad she took it well. After a few mouthfuls, she decided that she didn't want to continue eating. She pretended to look here and there, but just simply avoided the direction of the spoon. Knowing her pattern, I knew she didn't want it anymore, so I didn't force her. We suspected that she was sleepy as she woke up very early and had not taken her post-shower nap. We let her sleep for awhile as we quickly finished our breakfast.

We made our way to the seaside and by then she woke up. We fed her the remaining porridge and went to rent the bikes. She was okay at the beginning, quietly seated in the baby seat. We tried to wear her cap for her, but she kept pulling it off till we gave up. It started drizzling abit and she oso became cranky, so we cut short the route and returned the bicycles. We then went to Parkway Parade for lunch before going to Kaki Bukit to buy a cover for her new Maxi Cosi Tobi car seat. Yes, she is going to upgrade to her front-facing car seat this weekend!

Went home after a long morning. We tried to put ashlynn to sleep as we were tired too. She took so long to fall asleep! She is getting hard to fall asleep these days though we can see that she is tired. She finally slept for awhile and when she woke up, it was time to feed her cereal. After that I showered and had to bathe her. We had to prepare for our special event. After a good one hour, we made our way out for dinner. Until then I was kept in suspense on where we were heading. Daddy drove and finally we reached Valley Point at River Valley Road. So the place he was bringing me was Dozo Japanese Fine Dining Restaurant. Well, food was good. We had a 7-course set dinner where we got to choose from a variety. Ambience was good. We were brought to their lounge for dessert which we all enjoyed. The only thing we didn't like was the service. The waiters and waitresses were really over-friendly. They kept disturbing us. And even called Ashlynn "Ah Boy"! We wanted to take a family pic and the waiter helped us. Guess what? He told ashlynn "Young man, look here". Daddy and mummy nearly fainted on the spot. After that, daddy told mummy to quickly help ashlynn put on her hairclip. haha....

Anyway, thank you daddy for the pleasant surprise. Ashlynn and I enjoyed ourselves :)

Ashlynn fell asleep after eating a bit of her porridge.
All ready!
