We went into her room and discovered her in this cute sleeping position. So we quickly took a few pics of her. Got scolded by ah ma as she said cannot take photos while a person is sleeping. hee...

Naughty girl decided to be adventurous and made her way in between the walker. Not knowing how to reverse, she had to scream for help. Daddy was not at home so I took a pic to show him. I had a good laugh at her.
As seen in the video in the previous post, she can "walk" :) Her hair is much longer now. So I can clip more strands of her hair. Erm.. Ya it's the same old clip. I actually ordered 4 more and it's on its way :)

Forgot what I did to make her smile so happily. Can see clearly her 2 bottom teeth.

She was enjoying the cartoon on OKTO.Yeee.... What is this? Spinach puree which I made. I bought a packet of spinach and only added a few leaves to her porridge. Didn't want to waste it so I steamed, blended and froze it for future consumption.

Ashlynn's First REAL Fever 23 Oct '08

Ashlynn has fever! (we hope it will not happen again). The other time when she was abit feverish was 2 months back. She was given the paracetemol and was ok after that. This time, she had fever on and off for two days before we decided to bring her to the PD. At the PD, they found nothing wrong with her. Even the fever had subsided. So doctor said most likely she got the fever from daddy. Or it may be a case of viral fever, which was to be monitored for the next few days. We are supposed to be grounded over the weekend. The doc also gave us some emergency flu & cough syrup and a medication for high fever. Ashlynn took a urine test (suspect that the doc wants to make $).

After visiting the doc, we went to toyR'us to buy a Leapfrog catepillar toy for her. Also bought a top from Pumpkin Patch sale. Hee.. Daddy like it a lot. I find it ok lah.

I just made some rice cereal for ashlynn and guess what! daddy stepped on it as I placed it on the no mess mat where ashlynn's bumbo seat is. I gotta prepare the rice cereal and heat up some puree again. How clumsy can daddy be.

A Job Well Done 20 Oct '08

I officially announce that milk supply has finally depleted after 8 months 5 days of breastfeeding. 2 months beyond what I have initially planned. But of coz the last 2 months was partial breastfeeding, relying heavily on frozen stock and in particular, the last month was minimal breastfeeding, with only one feed of EBM per day.

Thank you to all who have given me the encouragement to perservere during those stressful times.

A big thanks to medela PIS advance which has served me well over the past 7 months. I will be keeping it away soon. Till we meet again...

Finally daddy felt better on sunday, so we could all go out for lunch. heee.... I was like released from prison. We went to Parkway Parade for lunch and shopped around. We didn't stay long as daddy felt drowsy.

Later on in the night, we went to sakae sushi at east point for our dinner. Happened to bump into Eliaw, Carter and family there. Chatted abit and mentioned about getting her to organise the next playdate as we missed Jass' one. Here I am organising the next eastie playdate. haha....

Bored @ Home 19 Oct '08

Decided to take a few pics of ashlynn standing as she can now pull herself to stand quite effortlessly.

Yesterday was also the first time she pooed in a potty! Below is the "cake" she baked in the old-fashioned red potty which ah ma bought for my 嫁妆? You look carefully. The 禧 sticker is still stuck to the base. After she pooed, I was quite terrible. I asked sick daddy to wash away the poo poo. But he refused. Haiz... So I gotta do it. Yeeuuu! haha... Ashlynn is going to hate me for posting up her poo poo when she sees her blog in future *wink*

Last night, granny and grandpa also came over to see their precious. haha.. that's daddy! Ashlynn was sleeping then. While I was washing clothes, ashlynn woke up. heee... I suspected granny woke her up as grandpa and her wanted to play with ashlynn. But shortly after they left, ashlynn fell asleep again. I fed up and changed her diaper in her sleep.

Gloomy Weekend 18 Oct '08

Daddy just returned from KL after a short 2 days 1 night work trip and he is sick! So Ashlynn and I will not be able to go gai gai this weekend. Kinda sad coz mummy has tried to finish all my work in school so that we can spend the weekend more meaningfully. Anyway Daddy, Ashlynn and I hope that you will get well soon.

And not forgetting to add, while daddy went to the doctor's last night, I put ashlynn in the bumbo seat in front of my bathroom to play with her toys while I had a quick shower before I settled her to bed. Naughty her tried to stretch backwards and fell from the seat. She cried pitifully but was ok after I picked her up. Thinking back, I should have attached the tray to it to stop her from stretching too far.

Eastie Playdates

Ashlynn learnt something new at the eastie playdate on Sat 11 Oct...

She learnt how to go all four on her knees and from crawling to sitting...

It all happen suddenly on the day itself, guess she is learning from all the babies there...

Biggest Playdate Ever! 11 Oct '08

More on the Eastie Playdate from mummy.

We attended the Eastie playdate organised by one of the mummies we got to know from the forum. It was really an eye-opener with so many babies under one roof.

We enjoyed the fruitful afternoon. We got to know more friends and our babies also made friends with one another. We also discovered that Ashlynn has reached another "developmental milestone" at playdate. She can now pull herself from crawling to sitting position. in fact, it was another mummy who told us that before we realised it ourselves.

Some interesting scenes:

• Cayleb gave a peck on Carrie's cheeks!
  
• Gervaise is cruising around. That's fast!
  
• Many babies crawled to attend the flashcard lesson by bkk.

• 3 babies - Ashlynn, Gervaise and Carrie crawling towards Dor's bag. All at the same time. It really attracted them.
  
• Some babies "fought" among themselves for toys.
