I Can Stand! 24 Aug '10

We placed Ashton in his Bright Star Activity Station and surprisingly he could support himself quite well. But his back is still not strong yet, so we only placed him there for awhile.

Hungry?

We almost can't believe our eyes. We were all watching tv and she was busily engaged in colouring. When we looked at her, we saw that her mouth was very dirty. It turned out that she was chewing on the colour pencils. We had to pull her to the bathroom to rinse her mouth and brush her teeth. The lead was stuck in her teeth and her tongue was coated with it. So scary. I think she also had a shock herself when she saw the mirror so she guai guai let us do the cleaning.

Lesson learnt: Never let her do things quietly on her own. She is usually up to no good.

1st Pneumoccocal Jab 19 Aug '10

Brought Ashton for his first pneumoccocal jab today. He weighs 6.91kg at 3 months plus.

Latest Stash 18 Aug '10

Decided to take a pic of my stash before I start work in one week plus time, for I know that the frozen milk will start to deplete.

I hope that I can continue providing milk for Ashton for as long as I can. But my work demands may not be able to accomodate my wish. Anyway, take it as it comes.

Daddy has already asked me to call up Abbott to request for free Similac sample seeing how stress I am now. We are worried that Ashton may reject FM later on. But a fellow mummy told me that this will not happen as babies will drink when they are hungry.

Cheh Cheh and Di Di

One of the rare shots of Ashlynn playing with Ashton. Ashlynn agreed to be Ashton's rocking horse for awhile. Usually, Ashlynn is in her own world, not willing to play with di di. She will occasionally go up to di di and call him. Since she doesn't get much of a response from di di, she is not motivated to continue.

Ashton is 3 Months Old! 12 Aug '10

At 3 months, he is such a happy baby who loves to smile. He smiles when we look at him. He smiles when we talk to him. He smiles when he wakes up from his nap and sees us beside him. He smiles when we are talking but he thought that we are talking to him.

But of course he has his times of crankiness too. Like when he is tired, he is hungry, he wants to be carried, he wants attention and when he needs to be burped.

At 3 months, he is still waking up a few times in the middle of the night to nurse. I also managed to give him the pacifier successfully one night. Thereafter, he kept spitting out the pacifier so I decided not to give it to him as I had to keep helping him to pick it up. It is frustrating that he can't sleeps through, but sometimes he gives me the most innocent smile when I pick him up that it melts my heart away.

Sophie 03 Aug '10

After reading about how good Sophie the Giraffe is, I finally decided to buy one for baby Ashton. Initially wanted to get from SMH bp but I procrastinated too long and the bp was over. I managed to find it at Mums and Babes but it cost $4+ more after discount using TMC SBI card. I bought it anyway. I will introduce Ashton to his new friend later after giving her a thorough bath. Hope he will like his new friend.
