Lazy Sunday Afternoon 30 May '10

Future supermodel

Our two darlings getting ready to take their naps. Ashton was crying and Ashlynn pat him. Daddy and I were very pleased with her progress with didi. Just that she still gets emotional at times and it is very trying when it's her meal time.

Ashton After Two Weeks 30 May '10

For two weeks, I kept thinking that Ashton is such an easy baby compared to Ashlynn. He was practically sleeping most of the time (which I knew the sleepiness was due to his jaundice) and he was feeding regularly at about 2.5 to 3 hourly.

Shortly after he turned two weeks old, it was so difficult to make him sleep. When we thought he has fell asleep and tried to put him down in his cot, he starts wailing. Sometimes we don't know what to do, so automatically everyone will push him to me and I officially become the human pacifier. I got no one to blame anyway as I chose to TBF for him and also didn't want to offer him any pacifier.

Hopefully, he will adapt to schedule soon. And also hope my milk supply can go up as it had strangely went down this week after a period of abundance supply last week. Sigh...

Ashlynn the Big Girl 24 May '10

Ashlynn has still been her cheerful and cheeky self upon the arrival of didi. Just that she tends to get emotional at times when Mummy cannot carry her. I find her getting more attached to granny as she sleeps with granny while Mummy spends more time with didi. Oh yes, and Ashlynn has started drinking Mummy's milk again.

Her attempt to carry didi

She loves to put the box on her head whenever daddy stocks up drinks from NTUC.

Annoucing the arrival of Ashton Wong

Pleased to annouce to everyone the arrival of our baby boy Ashton Wong.

The labour process is both fast and dramatic, below is the process in chronological order.

1+am : Mummy felt the water bag bursted... yelled for Daddy

150am : Not wanting to waste time like Ashlynn's birth, Mummy decided to change quickly and rush Daddy off to hospital

215am : Reached hospital, park and quickly walked to the side entrance with Mummy struggling to walk already as Ashton is trying to make his way out..... ALAMAK! side entrance closed, have to walk further to the main entrance!!!
Daddy quickly rushed to the main entrance to get help for nurse.

Daddy to man at the door : My wife is delievering soon, can help to get the nurse??
Man reply leisurely : No worries.... leave your car at the side we will park it

Daddy seeing the man has no sense of urgency, decided to quickly put down the bag has ask the man to get the nurse asap.

As Daddy return closer to the main entrance with Mummy, he saw the nurse pushing a wheel chair for mummy to seat on....
As soon as mummy sat on the wheelchair the nurse told Mummy to close up her leg....

Mummy was quickly pushed to delivery ward and the nurses there have the room ready asap while waiting for doc to arrive. There wasn't even enough time for Mummy to change to the surgical gown and Daddy to do the admission procedures...

226am : Doc quickly arrived and as soon as she got ready, with a single push Ashton has arrived!!

What are Daddy and Mummy Busy With? 01 May '10

As the big day approaches, daddy and mummy start to get anxious as there are a lot of things we have yet to get ready, not like during Ashlynn's time, when we finish our preparation so early that we had nothing to do near the due date.

I went for my checkup last thursday. Baby A is 2.8kg at 36 weeks plus. Hope that he can plump up a bit more to hit 3kg before he pops out. Was told by gynae that he is engaged, but most likely will not be due on my 37th week, unless I walk excessively. My ML will start on my 38th week. I hope to take a short break before he arrives.

Back to what we are busy with. Over the weeks, we were slowly washing the baby stuffs. Some handovers from Ashlynn and some new ones. This week, we will wash the bulkier items like infant car seat cover, breastfeeding pillow cover, rocker cover, etc. I will also start washing the milk bottles, teats, breastpump parts and put them aside. Daddy has converted Ashlynn's toddler bed back to the infant cot since Ashlynn was not sleeping on it.

My hospital bag is almost packed. I have just bought the present for Ashlynn and kept it in the bag. Hope she will like it.

I also have not mentioned this. Granny and Grandpa will be shifiting in, so we will be making major shifting of furniture and stuffs. But we can't do it now as I am pregnant. We will only start the shifting when Baby A comes out to see the world.

A lot of adaptations for all of us to make. Hope everything turns out fine.
