Masterpiece 27 Jun'09

Ashlynn finally completed her artpiece after 3 weeks of hard work.
So proud of her :)

New collection to our gallery. The leftmost done by mummy, centre by Ashlynn and rightmost by daddy.

Close-up shot of her masterpiece. The butterflies were made from carrot, leaves from potato and flower from lotus roots.

Lonely Week to Go...

Going to have a lonely weekend for me and Ashlynn as daddy is off to tokyo to play and work. Sigh... Very sad because
1) school is starting on monday with LOADS of work waiting for me. arrghhh...
2) I have to take care of ashlynn on my own and can't do any preparation for school. Worried!!
3) Miss daddy very very much... it's just me and ashlynn alone at home.

Daddy, try to come back on wed ok? Quickly finish what you need to do at tokyo.

Breakfast at Ikea 21 Jun '09

Instead of our usual breakfast at Han's at Eastpoint, we decided to drive over to Ikea for brunch. We enjoyed ourselves very much as we got to eat the delicious chicken wings and Ashlynn was well-behaved there. We kept her occupied with the cutlery and fed her with bits of our chicken which she liked very much.

After our meal, we shopped around and as usual, she wanted to "roam" about. She went around touching the things, opening the drawers etc. She went wild when she saw the moving reflection on the ground. She screamed in delight as she chased after the image. I wanted to take nice pictures of her but she just can't keep still.

Even recycle bins also want to touch.
Feeling the fur carpets.
Daddy giving her a hand.
Opening the cupboards.
Thinking what to touch next.
She is always so busy when we bring her shopping. Making us busy too, chasing after her.

We finally brought Ashlynn for her MMR jab after postponing it several times due to her reaction to eggs. After review with the doctor, she was given the green light to go ahead with the jab. She screamed and cried so loudly during and after the jab that the people at the polyclinic were all staring at us. She cried herself to sleep then even missed her lunch as she was in a terrible mood.

She attended the LNT lesson in the afternoon and I could see that she enjoyed herself very much. This made me even more determined to sign up for the next term.

We celebrated Father's Day with grandpa in the evening and after that we shopped around in Suntec. Mummy finally bought a swimsuit so that I can bring Ashlynn to swim. Can't wait!

Happy Daddy's Day!!

Dear daddy,

Thank you for taking care of me when mummy is busy with school work. Thank you for offering to take care of me when mummy wants to go for manicure. Thank you for waking up in the middle of the night to attend to me so that mummy can sleep more. Thank you for washing my bottles at night. Thank you for helping to pack my gai gai bag (though you tend to miss out some things, hee...). Thank you for being patient with me as I am a stubborn girl. Thank you for being firm with me so that I learn the right things. Thank you for putting up with mummy's short temper and naggings. I think only you can tahan mummy's mood swings. Thank you for giving us a lovely family. We love you! Happy Daddy's Day to you :)

Hugs and Kisses

Performing for daddy!
Opps, no pics of daddy as he was the photographer and he was busy getting the attention of the waiters to order more food.

The Camera Goes Snap Snap Snap 16 Jun '09

I had nothing better to do while waiting for daddy to come home so I just took out the camera to take pictures of our little princess in action.

Decided to tie up her hair as it was quite warm. But in less than 15 minutes, she pulled it out again.

Another Gathering with the Feb '08 Mums and Babes 15 Jun '09

We went over to Pauline's place in the morning. All of us had fun there. Thank you Pauline for having us over :)

Some random pics taken during the playdate.

Ashlynn and RaeAnne playing hide-and-seek.
Playing with the shopping trolley.
Ashlynn and Carrie like the balloon a lot.

The girls playing fishing.

Pauline managed to capture a shot of all 3 girls looking at the camera.
Ashlynn exploring the balcony. She no shy. Act like she is at her own home.
When I tried to feed the Ashlynn the pasta made by xiaoyun, all the babies crowd over greedily.

RaeAnne wanted some, so I fed her.

Weekend 13 - 14 Jun '09

We went to Ikea on Saturday night after visiting ah ma's place.

I cooked chicken with carrot and potato soup to go with rice for her lunch on Sunday. I added too much water, hence the rice looked like teochew porridge.
Getting ready to go to Tampines. Wanted to check out the LNT at the CPF building. But it was not opened yet.
Her "xiao xi xi" pose.
Our crocs! We finally get the chance to wear them. We have waited for a few months since we bought them. Daddy and I have been waiting for Ashlynn to fit into her crocs before we wore ours. It was still slightly big for her but we saw that she could walk quite ok in it, so we let her wear it out.

More Pics from the Gathering

I love this pic. Ashlynn is doing her "xiao xi xi" pose". She does it when you point a camera at her.

Group pic - A must have for every gathering, The mothers and Feb '08 babies.

Gathering for the Feb'08 Mums and Babes 12 Jun '09

We had a mini gathering on Friday at Ikea Tampines. Met up there for breakfast. Pauline (with hubby Aik Cher) and RaeAnne, Sharon and Kate Lynn, Jeannie and Gwendolynn and me and Ashlynn were there. It was an all-baby girls' outing. The kids had a good time running around. Ashlynn was quite anti-social, prefering to wander about on her own. I also realised that she is very active (naughty?). While other toddlers can sit with their mummies at the dining table, she couldn't. She had to come down to the floor to walk no matter what. I couldn't even drink my coffee... Nonetheless, it was a good catch-up with the mummies as we chatted on our children's characters, behaviours, eating habits, cooking, etc.

Ashlynn is hooked on playing these. Or in fact, all the children loved these.

Stop to pose for a pic.

These games were so addictive.

All the four girls were stuck there for some time. From left to right: Gwen, Kate Lynn, Ashlynn and RaeAnne.

What did Ashlynn say to Gwen?
RaeAnne is telling me not to take their pic.
What did Ashlynn do to Gwen again??
Sharing toys?
Sweet gal.
Not forgetting, thank you Sharon for the delicious sandwich and the ride :)
