Just Another Day 28 Mar '09

We went for an early breakfast at Eastpoint this morning and after that we brought our little princess to the playground. She enjoyed herself so much that she can't bear to leave.

This is taken on our way out to Parkway Parade. She can walk quite well now. Most of the time she walks unless she wants to get to somewhere very quickly then she will resort to crawling.

Daddy and I also decided to sign her up for the Little Neuro Tree class. Damage done: $650 for one term. Hopefully she will benefit from it.

Our Precious Sunday 22 Mar '09

We decided to adopt a healthier lifestyle so we brought Ashlynn to East Coast Park for a jog on Sunday morning. But we ended off with a hearty MacDonalds breakfast. There goes our healthy diet...

Daddy finished his jog, so it was his turn to push the stroller while mummy went for a super short run.

Mummy's turn to pose with Ashlynn

She enjoyed looking at me run. She will smile whenever she saw me running. Surprisingly she didn't attempt to take off a cap unlike when she was younger.

When we reached home, we showered her and let her play with her new toy which daddy bought her the day before.
She was enjoying herself, swaying her body left and right.
This marks the end of my super short one week break. Back to my busy worklife again. Sianzzz...

Ashlynn Makes Friends 21 Mar '09

We had a little gathering where we brought our little ones along. Although most of the time they were more in a world of their own, but on certain occasions, there were some communication between them. Very cute!

3 young ladies catching up.

Outside Din Tai Fung. Waiting for a table. Ashlynn was happily playing with daddy.
After dinner, she went on a ride with her "boyfriend".

Daddy on Leave 18 Mar '09

Daddy took half day leave to accompany mummy and Ashlynn to shopping. We went to Orchard Road for lunch and shop around Takashimaya.

We had lunch at Soup Spoon at Paragon. As usual, we gave Ashlynn some biscuits to munch on. This time we gave her a new biscuit but she end up choking on it. Really scared the hell out of us when her faced turned red and she kept making the vomitting look. When she was better, she keep going "eh ehhh ah ahh" like as if to check if she still can make noise.

We managed to make her sit on her stroller one quarter of the time there. It has been very long since she sat in her stroller. However, our worse nightmare is she refuse to sit in the baby carseat and this makes it impossible to bring her out on our own. She also took a one hour nap in her stroller :) The rest of the time she was "walking" around. It really tested our patience as she was so slowwww. When we got impatient, we would scoop her out and get to our destination quickly and she will struggle to get down.

We bought two pair of footwear for her. One very sweet-looking hello kitty pair of shoes and a pair of squeaky sandals which we put on immediately for her. She loved it so much and kept walking around to hear the sound. When we brought her to change her diaper, I took it off to put at the side of the changing table but daddy removed it as he felt that it was obstructing the way. She screamed her head off. When daddy quickly place it back, she was ok. We could tell that she really like it a lot. Usually when her shoes fall off, we will have to struggle abit to put it back on for her. But for this squeaky sandals, she will sit quietly to let us put it on for her.

Mummy also bought a pair of shoes for myself and a hello kitty wet bag. Daddy didn't shop for himself though. After we left Orchard, we went to IKEA to buy some cutlery for Ashlynn.

When we got home, Ashlynn had so much difficulty falling asleep . During the night, she woke up many times screaming very loudly. I think it was too much overstimulation.

Before we left the house, I tied up her hair for her. We tried to take pics of her but she kept moving around. Before we left, her hair was in a mess, so I untied her little ponytails.
In the end, I had to carry her so that daddy could take pics of her. But it was so hard to get nice shots of her as she was not cooperating.
I felt like a ah gong posing alone while she made funny faces or looked elsewhere.

We let her tried on the hello kitty bag and I loved it. Will definitely buy it for her when she goes to preschool next time.

I have not felt so happy for so long without having to worry for school work when out shopping. Too bad the hols is coming to an end soon. Thur and Fri and down for school activities and to finish up some work.

Oh, and I told daddy I want 3 kids! Coz they are so cute and irresistable. Somehow I can't bear to see our little darling grow up as she is really fun to be with at this stage now.

Our Little Darling 18 Mar '09

Ashlynn was really a little darling last night. She made us both very pleased.
What she did that were just some simple actions but to us it was an achievement.

1) She took the initiative to take her milk bottle from me and self-fed (usually we had to make her hold the milk bottle) and when she was done, she did not let go of the milk bottle and let it roll to the ground. Instead she handed over the bottle. I told daddy about it. His reply was "our girl has grown up".

2) She finished 210ml of milk (instead of her usual 180ml).

3) She took the initiative to walk towards me instead of me pacifying her to walk over.

These are most likely one time off events, however I still feel that she deserved the special mention. Well done Ashlynn!

Little Neuro Tree Trial 07 Mar '09

We brought Ashlynn for the Little Neuro Tree trial at the PP branch yesterday. We are now sourcing around to see if there are any good classes which we can sign her up for. To date, LNT and BJG are the better ones we have been to. Next week, daddy will attend the English class with Ashlynn to "try out" the lesson.

I didn't take any pictures inside the class as there were only 3 babies including Ashlynn and I was busy holding on to her. She refused to return the learning materials after every activity so I had to snatch from her to return to the teacher. There were a wide variety of activities but I felt that the activities were very rushed through. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that. Anyway it was such a coincidence that I bumped into my ex-classmate at the trial and some SMH forum mummies.

We had dinner at Swensons and Ashlynn had her porridge there. Her appetite is not good again. She refused to drink milk and she will spit out her porridge. Made me so angry and frustrated. Really don't understand why she has this eating issue since young.

Before we left the house

Happy gal

Cute expression

She was turning her head left and right, to attract our attention.
