5 Months 1 Week - 26 Jul '08

Ashlynn went for her last 5-in-1 vaccination on saturday. She started crying the moment the doctor turned her on her tum. The doctor said that her height and weight is just average. (Last visit she was below average)
Some updates:

1) 6.67 kg
2) struggling very hard to lift herself up
3) likes to be seated up
4) very difficult to fall asleep in the daytime.
5) drools a lot.
6) immediate reflex when she grabs hold of something is to put into her mouth.
8) able to put her pacifier back into her mouth if position is right.
And yes, she started on semi-solids! We started giving her the Heinz rice cereal on tuesday. She had her first taste of durian too.

Lunch at Vivocity. Again! 19 Jul '08

Went back to Vivocity yesterday to have lunch with granny. Grandpa could not joined us as he was working. We ate at Carnivore and we were all so full after the heavy lunch. After that we decided to pop by at Harbour Front to see babies swimming at Hwa Xia. Previously, Granny didn't allow ashlynn to go swimming. But after witnessing the cute babies swimming, she told us to bring her along when we bring ashlynn here to swim next time. haha...

We took many pics at the Carnivore. Ashlynn was so tired that she zonked out after that. I am so guilty. I accidentally deleted a very nice pic of ashlynn. Sorry daddy...

Dinner at Vivocity - Sun 13 Jul '08

It was grandpa's birthday and we were preparing to go out. Found ashlynn really cute in this FOX polo dress so we decided to pose for some pictures before fetching grandpa and granny. We were going to the Big Boss restaurant at Vivocity for dinner. The food was really creative and delicious!! Told daddy to bring me back again next time.

Over the week, these are the updates:
1) Granny and grandpa are addicted to bringing ashlynn shopping.
2) Ashlynn has a new minnie mouse soft toy (bought by grandpa) and she loves it!
3) Ashlynn flips a few rounds in one shot and can end up out of the mattress.
4) It is getting hard to make her sleep.

Ashlynn Flipping Non-Stop

Now that ashlynn has started flipping on her own, I feel that it is like her natural reflex. The moment I lay her down, she will automatically flip. Hence, it is getting difficult for her to fall asleep. Last night, she attempted to flip several times in the middle of her sleep. I had to wake up to intervene as she was making noises. Initially when she couldn't flip, I was so worried why ashlynn is so slow. Now she can flip, I find it a headache. How ironical...

Looking forward to my pedi/manicure session later. Daddy has agreed (I volunteered him) to look after ashlynn while I get my nails done. My colleague cum good friend is getting married tomorrow. And I am one of the helpers. Tomorrow will go straight to the hotel after school, hence won't be able to see ashlynn :( Also won't be bringing her home.

These are some pics taken yesterday at ah ma's house. Ah ma brought her downstairs to walk walk, she ended cring so loud that Daddy and I can hear her from the 14th storey. Ah ma couldn't pacify her so got to bring her back to mummy. She saw ah gong and started crying again. Ah ma and big uncle say that ashlynn is just like mummy when I am young. A cry-baby...

Dinner at V8 cafe. Ashlynn was grumpy as she was sleepy. She slept through dinner and woke up when we were about to leave. Good timing! Mummy

5 Months Old

Ashlynn is coming to 5 months in a few days time. After flipping successfully last sunday, she has now progressed to flip effortlessly. Early this morning, at 5-ish am, she was making struggling noises, I woke up to find her on her tummy. I flipped her back and went on with my pumping session. At 6-ish, she started crying, she was on her tummy again. This time round, I suspected she was hungry as she kept on whining. Don't tell me she is going to flip in the middle of the night from now onwards?

I am very gek sim. Last night was packing the frozen milk in the freezer. As I have been drawing stock recently due to low supply, the freezer was in a mess. This morning I realised I left one pack outside and end up I have to dump that pack of milk. Wah, every drop is so precious and i threw away that pack of 130ml. Since I am on the issue of breastmilk, I shall update on my latest progress. Have been pumping 3 times a day for 2 weeks. With effect 11 July, I started pumping 2 times a day. The supply really dropped a lot. From 800+ ml (4 pumps a day) to 600-700 ml (3 times a day) to 500 + ml (2 times a day). Seems like I really got to start tapping on formula milk real soon. Ashlynn doesn't really like frozen milk (or rather maybe she doesn't like milk at all), I will not be giving her full feeds of frozen milk. I have to mix with chilled EBM or FM. Hopefully I can clear the stock in the freezer. There should be about 60 - 70 packets now. I think my record should be 80 - 90 packets?

Ashlynn Finally Flipped!

After waiting for so long, ashlynn finally decided that today is the day. She has been twisting her body these few days, but was unsuccessful in turning over. However, today while daddy and mummy were each at our computers, ashlynn suddenly turned onto her tummy on the mattress which we placed on our platform in the study room. After the successful flip, she continued to do it and with an hour, she flipped 4 times. We doubt she knows how to turn back. So that will be another milestone for her.
