Busy Saturday

We went out three times today. First time, we went to Hans Cafe at East Point for breakfast. Mummy tried the scrambled aggs with chicken ham set while daddy ordered the chicken ham omelette. The food is so-so. After breakfast, we went to NTUC for our weekly grocery shopping. Ashlynn was really excited and even played with a worker at the NTUC. After that, mummy had to hurry home to pump.

In the afternoon, daddy suggested we go to the Robinsons anniversary sale. We found the sale quite worth going unlike the usual expo sales. daddy signed up for the OCBC Robinsons credit card and supp. mummy a card. Finally mummy has a supp. card from daddy. Not that I can't apply on my own. After that, mummy had to rush home to pump again...

By the time mummy pumped, bathed ashlynn and do up my make up, we had to rush to orchard. It was Sophia yiyi's birthday celebration. Jeslyn yiyi didn't turn up as uncle gerald's car was knocked into. Carrin yiyi went overseas and we were down to just me and wendi yiyi. We had a mini celebration at Din Tai Fung at Paragon. And the birthday cake was mummy's favourite - Exotic from Four Leaves. Daddy liked it too and said he wants it for Father's Day. I was puzzled at first and later realise ya, he's a daddy and ashlynn and I are suppose to celebrate for him. haha... I ate a lot. Haiz... There goes my diet plan. Not that I have one in the first place.

Sunday at Ah Ma's House

Another Sunday is spent at ah ma's house. Ashlynn has not been to ah ma's house for almost a month. Thank goodness she doesn't find ah ma a stranger and even played happily with her.

Before we left home, ashlynn was in a happy mood, so we decided to take some photos with her.

After ah ma's house, we went to Orchard as the GSS has started. Dinner was at Fish & Co at Paragon. Ashlynn was initially cranky but later fell asleep. We felt that the music in the restaurant was too loud for her. We went to Metro and bought a couple of stuffs for ashlynn. We bought a Pigeon teat for her to try out. She has not been drinking well the past few weeks. We felt that she might be rejecting mummy's bm. However, when we gave her fm, she also fusses and cannot finish. That very night when we tried the pigeon teat, she finished her milk. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Hope that the pigeon teat can solve the problem of her poor appetite.

Saturday Breakfast

We decided to have our breakfast on Saturday morning out. We decided to dine at Pick a Bite as it was air-conditioned. As it was also ashlynn's feeding time, daddy and mummy had to take turns to eat. Before ashlynn joined us, we can eat our breakfast leisurely and even bring our papers to read there. Now, it is quite impossible. In fact, we need to gobble up our foods at times. No complaints though, as we are rewarded by looking at ashlynn everyday.

Ashlynn was playing happily. She gets excited as mummy swung a bottle holder in front of her. Sometimes she can laugh and smile non-stop over little things. And strangely, she can suddenly cry after laughing.

Mummy loves this picture of ashlynn. She is so adorable. Ya, I am a thick-skinned mummy. keke...

Mummy's 28th Birthday

This year mummy celebrated a very memorable birthday. I spent a lovely day with the two most precious persons in my life - my dearie hubby and my our precious daughter. We decided to bring forward the celebration to monday which was a public holiday. It was a "shopping" day for me plus dinner. However, nothing caught my fancy so was an empty shopping trip. Went down to Mums and Babes at United Square with the intention to buy the medela softfit shields as my current ones are so yellow and disgusting. However was out of stock. End up buying the medela microwave steambags. Anyone thinking of buying that to sterilise your pump at work, I must say it's a saviour!

Dinner was at Tonkichi Restaurant at Takashimaya.

Ashlynn slept throughout dinner. In fact she slept almost the whole time in Orchard. Daddy and mummy had a peaceful dinner :)

Ashlynn's First 5-in-1 Vaccination

We brought ashlynn for her first 5-in-1 vaccination on saturday at TMC. She started wailing the moment she entered Dr Keoy's clinic all the way until she finished her jab and out of the room. She was expected to have fever but thank goodness don't have, though she was cranky the day after. Not sure if it was due to the jab.

Kinda disappointed to know that she is only 5.75kg at week 13. She had only gained 700g since her last visit to the clinic at week 8!! Dr said that it is ok for a baby girl's weight gain to be slower. I hope so. As for her terrible redness all over the folds in her body, it was the same problem - her eczema. Dr advised us to switch to goat's milk for her. Both daddy and mummy was quite hesistant to adopt this suggestion. Moreover, we just bought a brand new tin of similac. Dunno why I not favour the idea of feeding ashlynn goat's milk. Perhaps both daddy and mummy are never a mutton lover and daddy is a goat!! No offence to those who are feeding your children goat's milk. Just a personal preference. We decided to monitor her skin condition further. If it improves with the medication, we will stick to similac. If it doesn't, we have no choice but to switch. We checked out at the supermarket. One small tin (400g) is $19!! Besides suggesting goat's milk, dr also gavea checklist to mummy on foods to avoid as ashlynn's diet is still mainly breastmilk. It is basically asking mummy to starve herself. There are so many things which have to be avoided. Anyone interested can find out from me by perhaps leaving your email in my comments. Mummy decided that basically I will try to avoid dairy products, seafood and nuts as much as possible. The rest like apples and sweets seem to difficult to strike out from my diet. Anyway, I will probably be breastfeeding for about 2 more months before I wean ashlynn off breastmilk due to work commitment which do not allow me to pump so frequently.

Birthday Celebration with Yiyis and Uncles

Prior to the birthday celebration for mummy this evening, we placed ashlynn in her purple bumbo as she seems to want to be seated up these few days. Her head is still quite wobbly though.

Mummy's birthday is round the corner. Met up with our usual clique for a gathering cum dinner at Jack's Place (Marina Square). Thank you Carrin, Sophia, Wendi and Jeslyn yiyi for your dinner treat and generous gifts! Not many pics were taken due to the dim lightings in the restaurants.

Ashlynn slept during dinner so daddy and mummy ate in peace :)

Mummy's First Mother's Day Celebration

11 May is a significant day for mummy as I am finally eligible to celebrate this special day!! By the way, this is also the same day ashlynn had a haircut.

Most of the restaurants at Parkway Parade were pretty packed. Some had flights of steps at the entrance which were not stroller-friendly, hence we settled for a humble dinner at Delifrance Bistro, though the bill amounted to almost the same amount as what we usually pay for a dinner at Fish & Co. Very bo hua.

Ashlynn slept during the dinner. We ate in peace :)

Our shared lobster bisque. Not bad :)

Daddy and mummy shared one lagsane? No lah, we both ordered the same thing. hi^5!!

Backdated Posts - Mother's Day

We brought ah gong and ah ma to Thai Express at Holland Village for a simple meal to celebrate Mother's day. Daddy and mummy also got a set of Bonia wallet and key pouch for ah ma. The servings were really small but nonetheless, i thought it was a good change as ah ma and ah gong seldom get to eat out except the occasional tze char treat at the kopitiam opposite their place.

Ashlynn was not asleep during the dinner, but self-entertained, so we ate in peace :)

Not many pics were taken. All hungry and can't wait to eat.

Recently, ashlynn has become our little model. We love to dress her up in different outfits. She was dressed in all FOX again.
