First Family Trip to KL Day 3 - 22 Dec '08

On day three, we lazed around the hotel room to enjoy the luxurious feel before we checked out. The hotel was really value for money.

Daddy drove us to Malacca for lunch at a Nyonya restaurant (Little Nyonya craze) and to buy some local snacks. Then we proceeded to JB. There was a part on the journey whereby Ashlynn cried bitterly because I accidentally clip the pacifier clipper to her flesh.
This was what happened. We wanted to put Ashlynn to sleep. So I secured the clipper to her top. After I clipped it on, pause for one second, she started pointing to the clipper, wanted to pull off but didn't.

Recorded conversation
Mummy: Why ah, she wanna take out isit?
Granny: I think you giap her ba (flesh).
Mummy: OH! How ah?
Granny: Quickly take out la!
She cried so badly for quite a while until she got tired and fell asleep. I felt so guilty. After that, we tried to see if she remembered the painful incident, but apparently, she couldn't.

We proceeded to City Square for dinner at a Japanese restaurant and grandpa, who is not a Japanese food lover seemed to enjoyed his dinner. We shopped around and reached Singapore at about 10+.

It was a great bonding time for all of us.

We woke up to see a cheerful baby, She was crawling around happily.

She enjoys playing "kok tao".

Take a few pics before we check out.

First Family Trip to KL Day 2 - 21 Dec '08

On our second day there, we took the monorail to Bukit Bintang. There was no escalator or lifts available so we had to take the steps. So tiring for daddy who had the lug the stroller and granny and grandpa who were not used to climbing. Mummy is quite fit, so ok. haha...

We shopped at Lot 10 and Sungei Wang. Granny and grandpa enjoyed the shopping there and they brought plenty of stuff for ashlynn. We had lunch at KFC and dinner at 大人餐厅 at Sungei Wang. In fact, we went there at about 11 plus, stayed until 2 plus. Went back to the hotel to rest and back there again in the evening.

Again, ashlynn was cranky during our meals, so we had to take turns to eat. Besides that, we all enjoyed ourselves.

She always poo in the cot. I mean pooed in her diapers when we put her into the cot. She just finish her business in this picture.
Waiting for breakfast to be served by Sundi (her "maid")

Kenna tortured face.
Daddy and mummy posed for a shot in the romantic room (not with terrorlynn around) before we set off.
On the way to take the monorail. Inside the monorail. I was offered seat twice as I was carrying a baby. Not sure if I will be offered seat in Singapore.
Not another x'mas tree!!
Like granny and grandpa, ashlynn prefers the shopping at Sungei Wang. She is choosing a shirt for daddy.
Daddy, you prefer blue or beige?
She is much cheerful on day two. In fact, we heard her "singing" on several occasions. Although she sounds like slaughtering chicken, but it sounds melodious to our ears.
Signature look
Super signature look
Her "ole ole" action.
One observation: Ashlynn really likes to play with people of other races. As I mentioned, she was grumpy on day one. However, on day two, she was smiling at an Indian family on the monorail. At the shopping centre, she was playing happily with an Indian salesgirl.

First Family Trip to KL Day 1 - 20 Dec '08

We set off early in the morning at 6.30am. Ashlynn woke up at 5.30am and crawled around the house, sat in the middle of the living room to do her "ole ole" action (will try to take down video of it if she does it again). She might have sensed the excitement that has been building up.

There was a slight jam at both checkpoints. Along the journey, she slept, woke up, fussed to be carried, played and needed to be fed. We stopped for a couple of times to relieve ourselves as well as to feed ashlynn. There was a part where she actually slept one hour plus when we were travelling along the highway. So everyone got to take a break from entertaining her. Actually it's more of me and granny.

We reached Crowne Plaza Hotel at almost 2pm. After settling down, we proceeded to our high class shopping for the day. We visited the KLCC where we got to see the Petrona Twin Towers and next to Pavilion, a new upclass shopping mall. Dinner was at Madam Kwan's. We had a hard time feeding ashlynn. Recently, she has not been coorperating during our meals, needing lots of attention. Haiz... Other than meal times, she was fine.

We didn't buy anything as branded stuffs were cheaper in Singapore.

On the first day there, ashlynn was sulky and seldom smiled. Very unlike her usual self. She also had this signature look. Later on there are a couple of photos with that signature ya-ya look. I think she is trying grind her newly-sprouted upper tooth with her lower teeth. But when we returned to the hotel at 9ish, she was all happy again as she got to roam about the king-sized bed and her cot.

She didn't sleep well at night. I guess she was not used to the new environment. After we moved her to sleep in between us, she was ok.
On the journey, ashlynn happily entertained by 2 boxes of eclipse.
Stopover for lunch. She is still groggy from her nap.
Look at her pong tao!
We finally reached the hotel. Daddy was doing the check-in so we hanged around to take pictures at the lobbby.
Ashlynn trying out the bed.
Then she tried out the cot. (signature look)
It was super warm at KLCC. Our girl was so uncomfortable seated in her stroller.
Grumpy girl.
Signature look. Super dao face.
Kenna forced to strike a pose with the lovely bears.
Signature look
At Pavilion
On our way back to the hotel, we saw these interesting characters on the street.
She was badly constipated on the first day. Look at her pitiful expression. She even cried. After we fed her kiwi, she was fine on the second day onwards. Didn't know kiwi can ease constipation.

Ashlynn at Our Meals

I just realised that I always take pictures of ashlynn during our meals.
This was taken last saturday when we went out for dinner with ah ma and her 2 舅舅s. This is the first time she went out with 小舅舅.What is she looking at?
The crab shells on the pillar.
Yummy! Salted egg crab.
Some kinda crispy prawn
The usual veg
Sweet and sour pork ribs
Sambal kangkong with cuttlefish
This was taken during our breakfast at Hans. I took this because she just discovered that when she held the mobile phone near to her ear, she could hear it clearer and louder. She was very happy with that discovery.
Eclipse is not only daddy and mummy's fav, it's ashlynn favourite too! Whenever we need to distract her, we will use this. She likes the sound made by shaking the box. Once she gets bored with shaking, she will proceed to bite the flap of the box.
