Trip to the Airport 04 Nov '08

I rushed home from school to bring ashlynn to the airport to fetch daddy who was coming back from KL. We were slightly early so we just hang around. Ashlynn was very kaypoh, evesdropping at other people's conversation and kept looking around while we were waiting at the arrival hall. We went to MacDonald's with daddy when he arrived and had a fun time there.

Our First Playdate @ Home 02 Nov '08

We had 13 families over at our place on sunday. Quite a massive one given our space constraint. It got quite warm and crowded. Nonetheless, the babies enjoyed themselves. The mummies and daddies had a good time interacting. Especially granny who gained new ideas and knowledge from this playdate. Yup, granny and grandpa joined us. Granny prepared beehoon, fried spring rolls and the yummy curry chicken. Many thanks to all who brought food over.

Did ashlynn learn anything? Well, granny mentioned she is slightly more chatty today. Really hope our quiet baby will start talking soon.

Daddy is away on business trip again. Will be back tomorrow. Hee... Very short one. Will be bringing ashylnn to the airport to fetch him.

Gathering 01 Nov '08

We met up with a couple of friends today for hi-tea at Sheraton Hotel. It has been very long since we last met up. The last time we saw Keith and Jolene was at Ashlynn's full month celebration and the last time we saw Racheal, Gilbert and Gibby was even much longer.

We spent the afternoon lazing around, catching up and playing with the babies. Ashlynn was quite uncooperative as she kept wanting to be carried. She also made us busy by deciding to drop a smelly bomb at the cafe. Such a fine hotel but a baby changing room was barely in sight. I had no choice but to bring her to the ladies and change her in the stroller. She kept fidgeting and I was so scared she would soil the stroller. After changing her, it was her meal time. She was naughty again by refusing to finish her cereal. I think she was both tired and I might have made the cereal too thick for her.

Lots of attention was on Ashlynn and Gibby. We took turns to carry the babies. We were kept entertained by Gibby's adorable antics. He was really cute with lots of actions and expressions. I wonder if Ashlynn will be as cute as him when she hits one and a half.

We went into her room and discovered her in this cute sleeping position. So we quickly took a few pics of her. Got scolded by ah ma as she said cannot take photos while a person is sleeping. hee...

Naughty girl decided to be adventurous and made her way in between the walker. Not knowing how to reverse, she had to scream for help. Daddy was not at home so I took a pic to show him. I had a good laugh at her.
As seen in the video in the previous post, she can "walk" :) Her hair is much longer now. So I can clip more strands of her hair. Erm.. Ya it's the same old clip. I actually ordered 4 more and it's on its way :)

Forgot what I did to make her smile so happily. Can see clearly her 2 bottom teeth.

She was enjoying the cartoon on OKTO.Yeee.... What is this? Spinach puree which I made. I bought a packet of spinach and only added a few leaves to her porridge. Didn't want to waste it so I steamed, blended and froze it for future consumption.

Ashlynn's First REAL Fever 23 Oct '08

Ashlynn has fever! (we hope it will not happen again). The other time when she was abit feverish was 2 months back. She was given the paracetemol and was ok after that. This time, she had fever on and off for two days before we decided to bring her to the PD. At the PD, they found nothing wrong with her. Even the fever had subsided. So doctor said most likely she got the fever from daddy. Or it may be a case of viral fever, which was to be monitored for the next few days. We are supposed to be grounded over the weekend. The doc also gave us some emergency flu & cough syrup and a medication for high fever. Ashlynn took a urine test (suspect that the doc wants to make $).

After visiting the doc, we went to toyR'us to buy a Leapfrog catepillar toy for her. Also bought a top from Pumpkin Patch sale. Hee.. Daddy like it a lot. I find it ok lah.

I just made some rice cereal for ashlynn and guess what! daddy stepped on it as I placed it on the no mess mat where ashlynn's bumbo seat is. I gotta prepare the rice cereal and heat up some puree again. How clumsy can daddy be.
