Botak Girl

Ashlynn is offically botak now. We brought her to Junior League at Parkway Parade on Mother's Day. I am very proud that she was a brave girl and didn't cry while the hairdresser was shaving her. She looks very cute now. Not pretty, but definitely adorable :) mummy can't upload the pics as I left my digital camera at delifrance where we had dinner. Thank god it was found and the cafe kept it for us.

Mummy is still busy marking now, so unable to bring her home on weekday nights. Really wish to do so but... Now considering if we should stay with granny and grandpa???? Sigh... Ashlynn, do you want mummy daddy to stay with granny and grandpa? If only you can help mummy with this major decision.

Milk supply is dropping day by day. There is really no time to pump. Another major decision to make. Should mummy give up breastfeeding and concentrate on other things? Will upload the photos once I retrieve my camera.

Mummy in Uniform

Today is Red Cross Day. So mummy is supposed to report to school earlier. I told auntie jac jac that I will not be able to fit in my uniform. Yet I decided to take it out to give it a try. To my pleasant surprise, I still can wear it! I told uncle halil to help me take a picture so that I can show daddy when he comes home.

End of Maternity Leave

Mummy finds it so difficult to blog these few days. It's finally the end of my maternity leave and I'm back in school. Exam papers have started piling up and I am really tied down with the marking. Ashlynn has been staying over with granny for these few days as daddy is still at reservist and mummy cannot cope on my own. We will fetch her back on friday when daddy is back.

Looking back, the last sunday of my ML was spent at Orchard. Went to shop around for work clothes but didn't manage to buy much as I feel that I look so fat in almost everything and anything.

Gathering with my good friends from work

Mummy celebrated my good friend lay cheng jie jie's birthday yesterday at Say Cheeze cafe at Great World City. Why jie jie and not yi yi is because lay cheng looks very young and can easily pass off as a student. Mummy had a great time catching up with uncle halil, auntie raani, auntie siok pheng and lay cheng jie jie. I am not implying that the rest of them are old k? Mummy had a first coffee ever since Ashlynn was discovered. Daddy, don't be alarmed. I requested for decaffeinated one, but whether or not the waitress (who doesn't really understand English) got what I'm saying is another issue. Mummy missed them alot, but anyway I will be back at work on Monday. Till then, I will be missing ashlynn alot.

Some updates. Mummy may not be a weekend mummy after all! Had a discussion with granny after I left GWC for granny's place to pick ashlynn up. I will bring ashlynn home every night, and every morning I will bring ashlynn over. Granny will wait for ashlynn at the lobby at 6.20am every day. If ashlynn needs to be fed while mummy is preparing and dolling up for work, daddy will help out. Otherwise, mummy will just carry ashlynn while she is sleeping and put her in the car seat and off to granny's place which is just 5min ride away. But as for next week, ashlynn will need to stay overnight as daddy is still doing his duty to the nation.

A conclusion is made.
Ashlynn doesn't know how to wave bye bye. We tried the next day but it seemed that she didn't raise her hand when we said "bye bye". However, she raised it when she got excited after we keep repeating the same word in amusing tone.

Then again, it might just be a coincidence as she got excited everytime we said the word "bye" and she waved her hand. Pardon for the poor video effect. Dunno why the colour like so eighties.

Granny's Birthday

We celebrated granny's birthday yesterday. Last minute settled on Ah Orh Seafood Restaurant coz granny said that this is a reputable teachew restaurant. We had a super fast dinner as the food was served quickly. Ashlynn had her milk there too. The rest of the time she was quite cooperative and sat in her stroller looking around. Only when we finished our food she started to whine abit. Good timing. So we carried her out and started taking many pictures. The customers from other tables must be thinking why we are so excited to eat in a neighbourhood restaurant. Food was not bad.

After dinner, we went back to granny's place to cut cake. ashlynn was awake throughout. We bought granny a handbag and daddy outline ashlynn's little palm on the birthday card. Granny seemed to like the card alot and she said she will keep the card in her handbag. haha...
