Jacob Ballas Children Garden Gathering 13 Sep '09

After looking through the pics, I realised daddy took mostly pics of Ashlynn. So I have don't have much pics to share with the other mummies. Opps!

This pic is similar to the one we took many months back. Just that my face looks really round in this.

She enjoyed the waterplay so much!

Exploring with Heidi

My verdict: Ashlynn is an adventurous and hyperactive toddler. She is practically running instead of walking most of the time. She likes to explore on her own even if we are not following her. There was an incident which made me appear so silly. After we changed her, she ran away and I tried to go after her barefooted. Daddy was shouting at me to put on my shoes, yet I was worried that if I go put on my shoes, something will happen to her. Lucky Zoe told me to go wear my shoes and she will help me to watch over her.

Poor Girl 08 Sep '09

Yesterday when I went over granny's place to pick Ashlynn up, I was shocked to see the injury on her eye. It looked so painful to me as it was very near her eye. Luckily, the injury was not on the eye. She could have been blinded. According to granny, she left Ashlynn in the living room while she went to retrieve her water bottle. The moment she stepped into the kitchen, she heard Ashlynn screamed. When she saw Ashlynn, her eye area was already bleeding. I think granny had a huge scare.

I sent a mms to daddy to inform him of the accident and he called me back immediately to check on her. I joked with him that if I sms to tell him that I am in labour he will not be so kan chiong. He simply laughed it off.

Now I am hoping that she will not have a scar.

Maybe the scar will become her double eyelid?

The Start of the Sep Hols 07 Sep '09

I purposely did not arrange to do work on Mon as I wanted to spend time with Ashlynn. It's a pity I did not inform daddy earlier so that he can take leave. Anyway, he has a presentation to rush.

She was pretty well-behaved and also guai guai took her naps. I wanted to bring her to Toys R Us to buy the alphabets fridge magnets but was too lazy to go out. I cooked mee suah for her lunch and she finished almost all the noodles. She didn't want the ingredients though. This was the first time she almost finish her meal other than her porridge. I wanted to introduce her to more variety of meals so that it is easier to settle her meals outside. So during this one week break, I will try to cook different things. Granny is not keen on the idea but I will just go ahead.

She kept herself entertained by playing the music while doodling on the mat.

Just Some Pics 06 Sep '09

She is quite into glasses these days. She will happily put it on and also make us wear it.

Another pair from ah ma with detachable shades.
We had a good laugh over this pic as she is so erm... ugly. hee...
Within 10 minutes of receiving the sunglasses from ah ma, she broke the shades and cannot be fixed back. Mummy tried it on and thought it suits me.
Some other pics...

She enjoyed feeding these baby dolls so much that she just sat that and kept repeating the action.
Daddy said next time if we have #2, she can help us feed the baby. haha...

First Time to Night Safari 05 Sep '09

Together with Wendi and family, we brought our kiddos to Night Safari. There was a Teachers' Day promotion whereby teachers go in for free and accompanying visitors get a 20% discount. Daddy and I are so suah ku, never been there before.

We went straight there after Ashlynn's LNT lesson. We were early and since Ashlynn was napping, we waited on the car for them. When they arrived, we went to get the tickets first. Lucky there was not much pf a queue. After that, we went over to the zoo to have kfc for our dinner. Ashlynn wanted to eat the fries, but I told her to finish her porridge first. She actually listened. Wow... After she finished her porridge, I gave her the fries as promised and she ate them happily.

The place was quite exciting as it was very dark and I felt that we were on an adventure. Ashlynn liked the leopard most. She squealed in excitement when it approached close (separated by a glass panel). We carried her most of the time and she didn't insist on walking. I guess it was really crowded and the place was dark. We missed the animals show as it was full by the time we reached there and we didn't want to wait for the 10.30pm show. Overall it was an enjoyable trip for all of us.

Before we went out, she was riding on her fisherprice bicycle. Recently, she has started to ride on it more, and she can control the "vehicle" quite well.

Thank You Daddy! 01 Sep '09

Daddy was very sweet. This is the first time he bought me a teachers' day present, which was a powerpoint presenter which I wanted but can't bear to buy. I also felt that I don't need it very often. I know he wanted to encourage me to advance in my career which means making more presentations but I am reluctant. Anyway I still like the gift and will definitely use it.

We went to the airport for lunch and shop around, while letting Ashlynn run free. She was very happy and excited there. We also managed to sit down at Ya Kun for a coffee. We did not put Ashlynn in a baby chair and she was very well behaved on the sofa. We were very pleased with her. We happened to see a Crocs outlet sale there, so we bought 2 pairs of Crocs for her!

In the evening, daddy made a reservation at a Brazilian buffet restaurant to celebrate the occasion. We had a filling dinner. I thought Ashlynn was pretty cooperative to allow us to enjoy the buffet dinner. We spent 1 hour plus eating there.

I had a lot of fun on Teacher's Day this year, especially so as daddy took leave to accompany us. Also, I was very touched that daddy brought Ashlynn home the night before although we agreed that we will only bring her home on the next morning as I had to attend the school's Teacher's Day dinner. He brought her home, gave her milk, tugged her to bed, kept the clothes and put the laundry to wash. I was so impressed that he was able to assume the duties usually carried out by me.

Thank you daddy! Love you lots!
