Ashlynn's New Friends!

This morning, I placed ashlynn into her cot as she fell asleep after her feed. I proceeded to do some housework. When I went back to take a look at her, I found her awake and to my pleasant surprise, she was "playing" with the soft toys around her and the soft toys on her musical mobile. She was looing at them and smiling non-stop. I managed to take a video down. But the file is too big to be uploaded hear.

Let ashlynn try out her play gym today. Initially I think the floor was hard and she felt uncomfortable, she started protesting. When mummy tried to put her down the second time with a pillow support, she enjoyed herself. You can see from the pictures that she is all smiley :).

Ashlynn in Baby Carrier

We bought a Chicco carrier few weeks back using the Robinsons voucher given by friends. Finally got a chance to use it when we brought ashlynn to the John Little sale at Expo. We were initially quite worried that ashlynn will not like it. But she was alright. Managed to sleep while we shopped around. Another fruitless trip... Proceeded on to NTUC for our weekly grocery shopping trip which daddy and mummy always look forward to.

Shopping Again

Brought ashlynn to Metro Paragon coz according to daddy, there is an infant sale there. End up empty handed as there was nothing to buy. Had dinner at Fish and Co. Ashlynn didn't cooperate with us this time. Ashlynn was cranky at dinner so mummy decided to carry her and eat at the same time. It was almost her milk time and mummy was actually feeling stressed.

After dinner, we went to hunt for a nursing room, but was occupied. Anyway, ashlynn has not started demanding for milk so we shopped around first. We decided to go to the nursing room at the 3rd floor. It was again occupied. This time, ashlynn starting crying. Luckily the mother was done, so we went in. Very happy to be able to nurse her outside. She didn't get to drink her Similac. Keke... Really hate it when ashlynn has to end up drinking FM. As much as mummy can, I will feed her with breastmilk.

After the fruitless trip at Paragon, we popped by Taka nursery department. Bought a bottle of Gaia powder for ashlynn. It is supposed to be non-talc. And can help to absorb moisture from the folds in her body which have started to look reddish and raw these few days. Mummy bought a nursing shawl. Hope it is useful. This is how it looks like. Daddy said look like ah ma.
Before we headed home, daddy suggested we go for a drink. We settled down at Starbucks in Paragon. Ashlynn decided to cooperate by taking a nap. Moreover, there was nice music coming from the surrounding that soothe her to sleep.

Mummy is Impressed with Herself

Managed to accomplished something today. This is the first time I changed the bedsheet ever since we moved in back in 2005. Ok, maybe it's nothing great.

Mummy is starting to get used to being a SAHM. From taking care of ashlynn, pumping milk for ashlynn, tons of household chores to ironing daddy's clothes. Daddy, why no token of appreciation to this super mum cum wife? haha, just sprouting nonsense cause thinking of what to write.

Got the CB calendula cream from the SMH forum. Applied on ashlynn's body, face and even scalp. Hopefully can see improvement in her skin.

Ashlynn has really grown very cute over the weeks. Her actions and noises amused daddy and mummy. And we can feel her growing attached to the two of us.

Another Sunday has Gone

Brought Ashlynn to ah ma and ah gong's place on sunday for lunch. From now on, mummy's parents are ah ma and ah gong. Daddy's parents will be granny and grandpa. Ashlynn smiled alot at ah ma's place and she took a nap there. After that we brought her to Vivocity. Ashlynn was very cooperative. Daddy and mummy managed to buy clothes for ourselves. Mummy needs new clothes badly as I can hardly fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I have officially upgrade from a S to a M size. Can't believe my shoulders are so broad and waist is so thick now. And my hips look like I have given birth umpteen times.

At dinner, Ashlynn slept throughout so daddy and mummy managed to have a "peaceful" meal. Went to Giant for grocery shopping, but not long after we entered, ashlynn started getting cranky. We cut our grocery shopping short and left. It was her feeding time. Quickly got into the car and bf her. Home sweet home...
